Speaker to inspire audiences at school and church event

Heritage Christian Center and Ottawa Christian Academy announces former Marine, coach and pastor Ronnie Mitchem will be the keynote speaker at several conference meetings this weekend.

The kickoff will begin with OCA’s academic and awards graduation program at 7 p.m. Friday, June 1, where he will “deliver a message of encouragement and hope,” according to a news release.

There will be a meet-and-greet fellowship from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 2, and he will be ministering at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 3, at HCC’s worship service in HCC’s auditorium at 900 Hitt St. in Ottawa. Mitchem made national news when he expelled two football players who refused to stand for the American flag before game time.

He also travels the country, speaking at various churches and schools in the “Stand Up America” tour.

The public is invited to attend. For more information email heritagechristiancenter@yahoo.com, call 815-434-0507, or visit heritagechristiancenter.net.
